A woman sitting alone on a rocky beach, head resting on her knees, facing a stormy sea

Do you feel trapped in a relationship that doesn’t feel like love — where you’re constantly doubted, dismissed, or made to question your own reality? Are you tired of being gaslighted, disrespected, or made to feel unseen? No matter your background, your age, or your accomplishments, anyone can be deceived by someone who isn’t who they claim to be. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.

Close-up black and white portrait of a woman screaming

I’ve been where you are — trapped in 18 months of disrespect and ridicule. I turned back more than once, and each time it hurt worse. But healing came, and it can come for you too.

A man with dreadlocks sitting with his head in his hands

This book is for you if you need encouragement from someone who has walked this road and healed… if you’re ready for freedom from toxic cycles… if you want to reclaim your joy, peace, and self-worth… if you’re tired of settling for less than you deserve.

Piece One

The Survivor’s Declaration

“My Scars Are My Credentials!” They testify to the battles I did not choose, the storms I did not deserve, and the strength I did not know I possessed. This book is a companion for every woman who has walked through fire and refused to let the flames claim her name. Inside these pages, you will find truth, restoration, and the quiet courage that rises when the world expects you to fail. May every chapter remind you that survival is not the end of your story — it is the beginning of your authority.

This book was written for the woman who has carried more than she ever spoke aloud. For the one who learned to smile through sorrow and disappointment, to stand though shaking, and to rise even when rising felt impossible. Here you will find lessons, reflections, and the gentle guidance that helped me reclaim my voice, my worth, and my future; and hopefully do the same for you. You are not defined by what broke you — you are defined by what you rebuild.

May these words meet you where you are and lift you toward where you are destined to go. Your story matters. Your healing matters. Your future matters. And I, and others with the same story, stand shoulder to shoulder as you reclaim all three.

With you in your fight for Everything that is Yours,
Dianne

Piece Two

Welcome to The Quilter’s Circle

The Quilter’s Circle is a bi-weekly gathering for readers moving through this book together. Its purpose is simple: end the isolation and the guilt — the two weapons a narcissist counts on most.

Here’s what it isn’t. It isn’t therapy. It isn’t a confessional. It isn’t a place where you owe anyone your whole story to belong.

Here’s what it is. Trying to pull yourself out of abuse while you’re still sitting in the pot — potatoes called shame, onions called guilt, carrots called control — is damn near impossible alone. I know, because I tried. This group is where you stop trying alone.

I am not a therapist, and I’m not trying to be one. I’m a survivor who found out what it costs to stay quiet. I’m not interested in watching anyone else pay that price if I can help it. You will be asked if you’d like to share — your healing is yours, and you decide the pace, not me. One more thing, clearly: the person who buys this book is doing so at their appointed time, same as the person who joins this group. Read Ecclesiastes 3, any version, if you want to know what I mean by that. Whether this book is for you or for someone you love, you were led here on purpose.

The Quilter’s Circle gives people who have never been heard — the opportunity to BE HEARD and witness others get comfortable sharing what they believe is important.

Speaking your truth is the balm,

the patch protects your wound.

You may always have a scar.

I am NOT afraid of the better that is coming my way. I am not afraid of the Joy, or putting off Fulfilment either. I am delivered from shame, and guilt, and regret. May what I am grateful for today multiply in all of my tomorrows till I have no more!

Here, your story doesn’t get graded. Nobody judges it, fixes it, or picks it apart. You show up, you say as much or as little as you want, and it gets received — plainly, with no verdict attached. That’s the whole design. It isn’t a room where you’re expected to perform your pain so someone else can feel useful. It’s the opposite of everything that isolated you in the first place: instead of silence, someone listens. Instead of being talked over, you get to finish a sentence. Instead of being unseen, you’re seen — on purpose by people who know exactly what that costs.

Join The Quilter’s Circle

That’s the whole objective of this circle: not to heal you, not to analyze you — to give you room to share, and let that be enough for now. Email us at AServantsWalk@proton.me to join, and by reaching out you’re giving The Quilter’s Circle permission to contact you with more information. You can unsubscribe anytime.

Piece Three

The Survivor’s Manifesto

For every survivor who thought they were alone.

I am the one who lived. Not by accident Not by chance. Not Unscarred… But breathing…living Still Living Gonna Live I walked through what should have ended me… But something in me, something small, shaking, stubborn that refused to die. That is the part of me speaking now. My voice is the sound of my return. For years I swallowed lies like poison – held it in my throat until it threatened to choke me cause - I did not want to swallow and submit. But listen…listen, My voice is rising again. Not always steady Not perfect But mine. Mine. My new boundaries are shaped from the pieces of me that survived. Every "NO" I speak shakes something loose inside of me - Something I thought I lost, Something like…dignity. Something reminded me of someone I barely remembered. Something reminded me of the me that I once was, Someone who smiled, was whole, joyful, that enjoyed peace. My healing is not pretty. It is shaky hands. It is sleepless nights It is crying in the shower, so no one hears. And, It's showing up anyway. It's choosing myself when choosing myself feels like betrayal to the version of me programed till I learned to disappear. My scars are my silent witnesses. They are the tattooed into my skin with every unjustified treatment. They say: I walked through fire. I walked through Hell and out I walked through silently. And I am still here. Still rising. Still Becoming.
My truth formed sacred ground from pieces Of my soul. Not for the curious, careless nor for those that could not care at all. Not for the ones drawn to gossip and especially NOT for the ones that are not intended for my truth. My worth is older than the wounds and waited for me to touch it again. My worth is no longer up for negotiation. I will not be convinced, or enamored by useless trinkets, in exchange for respect. I am done disappearing. Done apologizing. Done pretending. My future is not doomed to fail because of your absence, influence, or ego. My future makes space only for The anointed, the appointed, and the called, for those carrying better, demanding better, worthy of better for themselves and me, My future no longer entertains counterfeit love, shallow affection, or the cheap imitations that once disguised themselves as devotion. My future rejects paper‑thin promises, hollow brilliance, and every illusion that ever tried to pass itself off as the real thing. My future is built on what God placed in me - not on who walked away My power is quiet and earth-shattering. Though it would be justified, it does not roar. It does not boast. It simply comprehends the distance restoration has traveled with grace, mercy, and Godly thankfulness and genuine love
I am the revolution my younger self prayed for. I am now the storm the sky promised. I am the rain, starting afresh, anew with joy to thrive. Because I LOVE THINE SELF… To thine own self be true.

Piece Four

Where Do I Begin

The poem that opens Chapter 1, right after “Hello, my name’s Dianne.”

Where do I begin?

I still can’t believe I’m writing this at all.

How would I, or could I, introduce this?

I messed up.

That’s the way I felt —

before I completely understood

who he was,

what he did,

how much he enjoyed hiding

his true self,

his agenda,

and what he was still trying to do —

And then I understood that he

was still trying to do before, I understood that I was his prey.

still trying to do before, I understood that I was his prey.

trying to do before, I understood that I was his prey.

to do before, I understood that I was his prey.

do before, I understood that I was his prey.

before, I understood that I was his prey.

I understood that I was his prey.

understood that I was his prey.

that I was his prey.

I was his prey.

was his prey.

his prey.

prey.

Piece Five

My Truth Then

From Chapter 5, written end of 2020 or early 2021.

I loved you.

I wanted to love you.

I was blind while I loved you.

I blindly loved you.

I wanted to believe you loved me.

I finally realized that we never

had the same definition of love,

and that will never change!

I am better off without you.

I cannot miss what I never had.

I will not sacrifice myself for anything without value.

I chose to be obedient to God,

and live whole, forgiven, restored

and joyful forever!

Piece Eight

YOU. yes, YOU! ! !

YOU didn’t lose them. YOU found freedom. This is the last time YOU apologize for surviving. YOU found freedom. YOUr peace just filed a restraining order. YOU found freedom. YOU’re not breaking up a family, YOU’re breaking a curse. YOU found freedom. The version of YOU that suffered is no longer in charge. YOU found freedom. YOU didn’t walk away – YOU walked into YOUr rich future. YOU found freedom. This time, YOU’re the one who gets to leave the table first. YOU found freedom. yes YOU!
